Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 August 2026
We keep this plain and honest. Here is exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, and what your rights are.
01Who we are
Komunaco is operated by Komunaco Ltd, registered in England and Wales. Our registered address is 20 Oakwood Road, Smethwick, B67 6BU, United Kingdom. When this policy says "Komunaco", "we", "us", or "our", it means Komunaco Ltd.
We operate the platform at komunaco.shop, which provides resellers with branded mini-websites and related tools. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].
02What data we collect
Account data: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.
Storefront data: Information you add to your storefront — your logo, brand colours, product listings, descriptions, and pricing — is stored and displayed publicly on your mini-website.
Payment data: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. We receive a transaction record (amount, date, plan) from Stripe for billing purposes.
Usage data: We collect anonymised analytics about how your storefront is visited — page views, referral sources, and device types. This data does not identify individual visitors.
Communications: If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we store your message and contact details to respond to you.
03How we use your data
To provide the service: We use your account data to create and manage your storefront, process your subscription, and send you transactional emails (receipts, password resets, service notices).
To improve the platform: Anonymised usage data helps us understand which features are used and where to focus development.
To communicate with you: We may send you product updates and announcements. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. Transactional emails cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
Legal basis (UK GDPR): We process your data under contract (to deliver the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (platform security and improvement), and consent (marketing communications).
04Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We use analytics cookies (anonymised) to understand platform usage. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from staying logged in.
05Who we share your data with
Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to data they collect during checkout.
Hosting providers: Our infrastructure runs on cloud services. Data is stored in the UK and EU.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers or third-party marketing platforms.
06How long we keep your data
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or tax purposes (typically 7 years for financial records).
Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked back to you.
07Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to or restrict processing; and data portability.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
08Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Questions about this policy? Email [email protected] — we aim to respond within 2 business days.
